Reaction Artical (Black Men and Suicide)

According to Joshua Alston in “Black Men and Suicide,” a black man committed suicide by overdosing on prescription medication as a populated chat room watched him via his live webcam. This report also told us some information about the rate of black men’s suicide, which is higher than men in general.

To watch a man or woman committing suicide on the internet is really the most horrible thing in the world. The black young man committed suicide on the internet, and let everyone watch that. I think it is sad and ridiculous. Life is the most precious thing in the world. Our parents gave us life and bred us up. How can we abandon it? Although we will face some obstacles in our life, what we should do is solve it and surpass it. Moreover, the internet is a public place. Everyone can search everything on the internet, including this suicide event. So it must have influence on some people, particularly on children. I think he wanted to express his despair and sadness, and he must want somebody to save him.

In my opinion, there is no problem can not be solved. Living in the world, we have to look at the bright side. If we meet some problems, we should find others’ help but not stand it alone. (220words)

Reaction Artical (Greenpeace: Japanese Whalers Leave for Annual Hunt)

According to AP/Mary Yamaguchi in “Greenpeace: Japanese Whalers Leave for Annual Hunt.” It said that a Japan’s whaling fleet had a clash with the protest ship, and the protest against the whaling catch.

I think it is cruel to catch up those loving whales. They also have their right to live in the world. Moreover, Japanese is so selfish, because they kill whales only for their desire for whale’s meat. Even though the amount of whales is becoming fewer, they still catch up whales by every means. It is unbelievable for me, because the whales are very huge, how do they catch them? They must use some means which we can’t imagine that. The Japanese not only didn’t admit their fault but also didn’t take methods to decrease the death rate of whales. They claimed that killing those whales was for research. Of course nobody believed that! How ridiculous it was! A lot of kinds of whales are facing extinction. If we keep killing them, they will become extinct sonly. Their extinction will influence a large numbers creature, because the world is based on the food chain. If the food chain was disturbed by humans, there will be more and more creatures becoming extinction. To be a conclusion, all we have to do is protect every creature from becoming extinction. Reaction Artical (Sex on TV Increases Teen Pregnancy, Says Report)

According to Alice Park in “Sex on TV Increases Teen Pregnancy, Says Report.” Reports revealed that the more sex and violence information showed on the TV or movies the higher pregnancy rates will be.

In my opinion, governments of the whole world countries should draw up a clear and definite law which can be a standard for TV programs and movies. For instance, The USA has formulated a classification standard for TV programs and movies. That is “General” Audiences” ” Parental Guidance Suggested” “Parents Strongly Cautioned” “Restricted” “No One 17 and Under admitted” Although there have been a standard, parents must pay attention to what children are watching, not only girls but also boys. Furthermore, parents also have to teach their children how to distinguish what they can watch from what they can’t; and tell them why some TV programs and movies they cannot watch. In this way, children would not be too curious about those sex or violent programs. In the other side, every TV and movie industry should obey the government’s policy, and stand in every parent’s shoes. After all, if there are not so many movies about sex and violence, the crime and pregnancy rates will not soar highly. I think there are strong relations between crime and pregnancy rate and the contents of TV shows and movies, so we must pay much attention to the problem. To sum up, the pure atmosphere of the society should be improved by all of us. (246 words)
